About Us

Employeesurveys.com is a Business Research Lab web site specifically geared toward serving those who have an interest in (guess what!) employee surveys. The Business Research Lab was founded in January 1996 specifically to meet the needs of the Internet community. The Lab's Partners realized that the Internet would make it possible to offer services which could not cost-effectively be offered by traditional brick-and-mortar research firms, such as do-it-yourself and turnkey survey solutions for mid-sized and small businesses. Ironically, the demand for custom surveys by Fortune 1000 companies has exceeded our expectations.

Over the past few years, we have learned a lot about providing market research information and services to the Internet community. From an original six-page brochureware site in February 1996, the Lab's web sites evolved into an information-intensive site of more than seven hundred pages. Our product mix has grown to include online surveys and software. Our Internet philosophy, which we have incorporated into the Employeesurveys.com site, has evolved into the following:

  • Provide useful information to those considering conducting research,
  • Provide open access to the information,
  • Keep graphics to a minimum so that pages are quick to load.
  • Make the site easy to navigate,
  • Continually evaluate the type of information YOU are looking for on the site,
  • Develop innovative products to serve the Internet community,
  • Provide a range of product options so that almost any business can have access to professional research.

The Leadership Team

Clive Mettrick is one of the founders of the Business Research Lab. He has extensive client-side experience in marketing research across different industries, beginning with Coca-Cola Foods (now the Minute Maid Company) in 1985. He continued to build his research skills at Microsoft, as market research manager for Product Support Services, and with Chase Bank, where he held a number of management positions.

In addition to providing research design and analysis expertise, he drives the Internet strategy and site design for Employeesurveys.com. Clive holds an MBA from the University of Rochester's Simon School of Business, with majors in Marketing and Computer Information Systems. Mr. Mettrick is a former board member of the American Marketing Association's Houston chapter.

Dr. Donald E. Payne is the Director of Research for Employeesurveys.com. He has more than 30 years experience in consumer research, beginning as Associate Research Director at Marplan, and subsequently as Executive Vice President of Oxtoby-Smith.

He is a Fellow of the American Psychological Society, a member of the Market Research Council and AAPOR, and consulting editor toPsychology & Marketing. Dr. Payne has taught at the City College of NY and the graduate school of Fairfield University. He has published widely in the field of consumer psychology and has testified as an expert witness on consumer behavior and perceptions.

Gregg Campa is Director of Client Relations for EmployeeSurveys.com. He has over 20 years of client side experience, and has managed dozens of survey projects and market research studies for EmployeeSurveys.com. He began his career as Regional Operations Manager with Associated Club Management, and later, as an Operational Management Consultant with Diamondback Consultants.

In addition to his client relations responsibilities, Gregg takes an active role in product development, utilizing feedback gained in his everyday client interactions.

In his spare time, Gregg likes to play tennis and fix up old houses.

He holds an MBA from the University of Texas at San Antonio, with majors in Management and Corporate Finance and is a member of The Human Resource Management Association.

David Parsley is Director of Sales & Marketing for The Business Research Lab. He has over twenty years of sales and marketing experience in the business information and information technology industries. David has helped a wide range of clients assess and implement technology and information to improve their operations and competitive edge. Some of his clients include Chase Bank, Trader Publishing, Florida Chamber of Commerce, Tampa-Hillsborough Convention & Visitors Association, and duPont Publishing. He has been a featured speaker at various business venues including Rotary Clubs and corporate planning retreats. He serves on the board of Tampa North Rotary Club and volunteers with his church's youth group and other committees. He is happily married and is busy raising three children in the midst of their teen years! David holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Virginia.

Chris Aybar has over ten years of experience in the information technology industry. He began his career developing web applications at Kingsley Research, and later at Kestrel Technologies where he harnessed enterprise-level skills through the design and support of 24x7 mission-critical application systems. Chris has also been involved in the health insurance industry developing electronic quoting and application systems as well as a varying array of agent and insurance policy management tools. He attended Brooklyn College of the City University of New York in pursuit of a B.A. in Computer Information Science.
